PROJECT FILE / 04 — OPEN SOURCE
Global Cron Lock.
A WordPress plugin for coordinating scheduled cron jobs across multiple sites on a single server, with a dashboard for monitoring and managing queued jobs.

01 / CONTEXT
The problem
On a server hosting many independent WordPress sites, scheduled jobs can start at the same time and compete for CPU and other shared resources, leading to high CPU and memory usage, database contention, increased server load, and longer exection times.
02 / ROLE & DELIVERY
What I worked on
I built a WordPress plugin that provides a locking mechanism for scheduled jobs, allowing them to be queued and executed in a controlled manner. The plugin includes an admin dashboard for monitoring running and queued jobs, as well as public source code for transparency and community contributions.
- Per-event lock and queue management.
- Admin view of running and queued jobs.
- Public source code.
